How important our initiative is !                         by Olivia         by Emma Good morning to everyone.  Today it's Thursday, the 30 th of April 2020.  The Police need your help . Police detectives  can't  investigate any houses in Madrid due to the quarantine so now you are the detectives. They need you to record an audio with a mobile, tablet or computer. In this  audio  they need you to describe w hat things were in your house on the 23rd April 2020, the day of the crime. Try to answer to these questions:  - Was the Guernica in your house?  - Was the  famous  painting hiding behind the sofa in your living room? - What was in your house that day? (please indicate the thing (fridge, hamster, ...) , the room (the bathroom, bedroom, kitchen...) and the place (behind the curtains, next to the table, on the mat...).  You can describe one or more rooms in your house.  - Were your family at home that day? Was  your mum/dad at the supermarke

Today is Tuesday,  the  28 th   of  April 2020. by Vera C.  Let´s do these activities today:  a) Do exercises 2 and 4 (page 23 in your Natural Sciences book) . In the first exercise you will need to listen to the FoodPyramidVocabulary audio that is in our Drive. Use your Sciences notebook or a sheet of paper to do exercise 4.  b) Watch again this video about "Initiative" that is in the Values page in the blog. This time watch it with subtitles . Then, finish the activity that you started last Tuesday about initiative and send it to me.  Have a nice Tuesday! Let´s start "rowing our learning boat" today doing these  activities:  a) Read about "healthy eating" in your Natural Sciences book ( pages 22 and 23 ). Watch one more time the videos (songs) about Nutrients and Vegetables that are included in the Natural Sciences page in this blog .  b) Do Liveworksheet Number 25 in your English workbook in Liveworksheet site (please connect using your user and password) - it is a review of prepositions of place that we already know.  Have a nice Monday! Today it's Friday, the 24 th of April 2020.  Are you already a share a story reading star?  by Guille B. Today we are going to practice some English and then make an Arts&Crafts activity:  a) Watch the SIMPLE PAST song in the English page in this blog . Then listen to the vocabulary chant and song in your English High Five 3 Pupils book (Unit 7 Lesson 1 - use the audios in our Drive please). Finally do exercises 1 and 2 in your Activity Book (Unit 7 Lesson 1).  by Leo b) Let's make a spring related activity. You will find different possibilities in our Drive (find also the link that is in your e-mail account). Choose one activity (depending on your likes and the materials that you have) and make it! Today it's  Thursday, the 23 rd of April 2020. Let's celebrate the World Book Day !  Let's read from breakfast up to bedtime ! Look at the "Are you a share a story reading a star?" game that I have prepared you to celebrate this day. I suggest you draw this poster on a sheet of paper, writing an "OK!" or making a tick next to the reading star each time you complete a reading task. Then, send me a picture of your poster and we will have fun reading all your stars and seeing your fantastic posters.  It's great because the activity that is planned for today is going to make you tick a reading star! It consists in watching the Simple Past song at the end of the English page in this blog . Then, using your English High Five Students Book and its audios, listen to the vocabulary and song in Unit 7 Lesson 1.

Good morning! It's sunny and warm today!  It's Wednesday, the 22 nd of April 2020.  by Vera Let's do the following activities today:  a) Watch the songs (videos) about Nutrition and Vegetables in the Natural Sciences page in this blog again. Then, read  the information on page 20 and  do exercise 3 (page 21) from your Natural Sciences book in a sheet of paper/ your notebook.   b) Keep reading in Oxford Owl "Animal Tricksters" by Candy Gourlay - this time from page 23 up to page 29. Remember that we follow the reading (listening to the audio) and then, we do a picture dictionary when we finish our reading (10 new/key words).

Today is Friday, 17 th of April 2020.  It's spring.  Ramón gives us some positive energy today with his message: "De aquí salimos todos" Let's row our learning boat today doing these activities:  a) First do exercise 2 in Lesson 8 (Unit 6) in your English Book - please use the audios to follow the reading before reading it out loud (the same way we do it together in the school). " The Fantastic Flying Books"  Why is a dose of reading so good for us?  Books can capture our imagination, develop our sense of humor, pick up on our real interests, hopes and fears, ... Is there a fantastic flying book for each one of us? Is there only one?  Today is Wednesday, the 15 th of April 2020. Let's start rowing today READING some pages of the book "Animal Tricksters" by Candy Gourlay. Its chapter "Monkey and Mango Island" is waiting for you in Oxford Owl for Home . Please connect with the user/password for your class (information by e-mail). Let's read from page 19 up to page 23. First use the audio and follow the reading. Then, read it out loud - same way we do it in the class together. Hope you could do many things that you like during our Easter Holidays . Personally I loved this time because I could have fun with my family and friends (by phone or on the net),  read some books, listen to music and dance "jotas" in the kitchen. We miss you so much but we need to continue "rowing our learning boat" from the distance (some people at home, some in their villages, ... but not in the school).  So let's start "rowing" today: a) English:   Do worksheet 14 in your English Workbook in Liveworksheets. Happy Easter Holidays! Just two proposals to do during this time ... 1.- You know that this confinement period is being a little "hideous" but necessary, specially for elderly people and children. Then, we suggest you write a letter to an elderly person that you love. We think it is something that will give this person a lot of joy and encouragement. You can decorate it too and they will love it.  You all know that Grace´s family is in the U.K and Ireland. She has written a wonderful letter to her grandpa. Please use it as an example. Grace has also prepared a letter model for you. ( Use simple time sequences and keep the letter format. Both are very important when writing letters in English. Click here to see both letter models ) 2.- Continue practicing English (reading, listening to music, playing different games, watching videos/movies/cartoons ...). We have activated these Kahoot challenges again (some people couldn't play and they are really fun):

Today is  Thursday, the 2 nd of April 2020. Tomorrow our Easter holidays will begin... And this is our planning for today:  a) English : Read Activity 2 in Unit 6, Lesson 7 in the Pupil´s Book (using the audio). Then, do exercise 2 in the Activity Book (Unit 6, Lesson 7).  b) Sciences : Prepare a mind map / schema about the Digestive System. Please check the video/presentation in the Natural Sciences page in this blog. Include the main ideas that you have learnt from the reading in Spanish, your book, Dr Binocs video, the Liveworksheets activity and this presentation.  c) Arts & Crafts : Making a piece of work about the idea that was included in our blog two days ago ( "Spring has come. Animals walk the streets that humans have left for them. When we are back in the streets again: Are we going to act, play and have fun in the same way? Are we going to change anything?" ) Please send me your pieces of work when you finish them.

Then, do exercise 2 in the Activity Book (Unit 6, Lesson 6). b) Sciences: Today we are going go do two exercises to continue studying the Digestive System. Do it in a piece of paper that you will stick on your notebook. Please remember than we don´t copy the exercise. We copy the sentences in order directly.
